Kicks For Charity is the brainchild of a 24 year old Sowetan, Bongani “Siba” Ncube and started from a simple notion of wanting to give instead of receive gifts for his birthday. A firm lover of sneakers himself, he decided to start a revolutionary, but rather simple charity drive for his birthday, he donated a pair of his sneakers to charity and then asked his peers and avid sneaker collectors to do the same.
With the initial aim of just collecting 24 kicks, the response from people willing to donate was so overwhelming that he decided to turn this into a fully-fledged charity drive.
Launched on his birthday on the 12th of January 2014, the charity sneaker drive will run throughout the month of January and also for the entire month of February, followed by the hand over to the identified charity.
The Kicks For Charity Sneaker Drive is open to anyone and everyone.
PLEASE DONATE A PAIR OF SNEAKERS IN AID OF A WORTHY COURSE.
